Chapter 2 - Program Test

I was met with two new options.

[Lend]

[Test]

I logically went with test first.

[Since no one reads the manual, explanations will be given on a situational basis. In this section, you can test the lending function. First, select the body part to be lent, then go through all the options.]

It was all relatively clear and simple so far. I clicked on a [Start] button and something amazing popped up in front of my eyes. It was a representation of my whole body, in 3D, floating in the air in front of me. As far as I could tell, it was a perfect replica, up to the small skin blemishes, minor scars, and pimples. I even discovered stuff I never noticed before since they were in spots I couldn’t usually see.

To think this program managed to scan me so quickly and perfectly, it was hard to believe this wasn’t something made by aliens, or at least some extremely advanced technology. The most baffling aspect was that there was no hardware in sight. How did they observe me? Where was the computing power? And how could they know me so well, even my psyche? They said that sufficiently advanced technology felt no different from sorcery, and this was precisely what I was experiencing right now.

The UI was extremely intuitive, though, as if refined by the ridiculous number of versions. Using a finger, I could select the exact area I wanted to lend. It could be as small as a patch of skin, and as large as half of my body. There were also small explanations to help me along the way.

[The lent part will be sent to the renter through a dimensional portal. However, the connection isn’t cut with the main body, and the lender will be able to feel anything that happens to the lent part and even move the part at will. SBPR is filled with security measures, and no harm can ever be done to the rented body part, so please do not worry about that. Unless specifically permitted by the lender, intentional harm is strictly punished, and unintentional harm is automatically prevented.]

After fiddling around, I selected my index finger to start with. Once I confirmed the body part, new options came into view.

[Please specify lending time.]

[Please specify price.] [Prices are in points, a currency only usable in SBPR. Each new user is granted 100 points during initialization.]

[Locked]

[Locked]

[Locked]

Many options were locked.

[More options will be unlocked as you increase your rank. You can increase your rent by concluding successful transactions through SBPR.]

Since it was just a test, I put one minute in and made it free. After confirming everything, new information came into view.

[You have not created a pseudonym yet. Please input one now.]

I needed to be careful about this one. Since this would pull people from my close vicinity, it was possible some might know me and even recognize the aliases I often used. I needed to find a new one. My very limited brain power went into overdrive, boosted by the thought of maybe soon having unexpected access to pussy.

Hmm… Can’t use anything from games and better avoid pop culture. Since this will be seen by real people and not internet people, maybe something not too vulgar, either, but still related to this program thingy. Speaking of which, I’m a bit of a special user, right? What was it again? An antenna? Then, what about Tenna from antenna? Not too bad.

[Pseudonym is already taken. 3,562,938,495 other users have attempted to use this pseudonym before, in their own languages, but translated here for a better localized experience. Did you truly believe you were the only one to think of the antenna/Tenna trick?]

This thing was mocking me as hard as ever. It kind of felt like it would be possible to do transactions with people all over the universe, eventually, but perhaps I was looking too much into this. 500 meters and the universe were still on slightly different scales.

No matter. This was something every person experienced in their lives, and we all knew how to deal with it. Since I was too lazy to find a different pseudonym, I tried different combinations. Eventually, I managed to get something that went through.

[Your pseudonym is now officially Tenna_372692.]

[Your offer will now appear on the rent section of all other users in your area. Since this is a test, we reproduced it here. Feel free to select it to get a basic understanding of how SBPR works.]

I could now see a board with only one offer, the one I just created.

[Tenna_372692. Male index finger. 1 minute. Free.]

I selected it, and another wondrous happening unfolded in front of my eyes. A rectangular pink holographic window appeared next to the transparent SBPR one. From there, my finger protruded from its opening, giving me the weirdest feeling. Looking at my hand, I saw that my original finger was still in place, as if nothing had happened. It wasn’t possible to see beyond the window, which gave a bit of a teleportation gate feeling, and only the finger was visible.

[The lent body part is a replica of the original while fully linked to it. Both exist at the same time in two different locations while being the same. It involves concepts that would fry your brain, so don’t bother trying to understand. This is done to avoid people walking around looking like they are missing body parts.]

I tried moving my finger, and both moved at the same time. When I touched the one coming out of the rental window, I felt the sensation on my original finger. It was quite an indescribable phenomenon.

But that wasn’t all. On top of the window was a timer, indicating the remaining time before the end of the rental. And then, the window itself could be moved at will, in all three dimensions. It floated by itself, so it could be left anywhere, facing anything.

[SBPR is only visible to the current user. Not even other users can see a specific user interaction with SBPR, so please feel free to let your sensual situational desires run wild.]
